KEY EXPERIENCE

Kris Seeburn is Lecturer in Information Systems Audit and Control, IT & Enterprise Governance, Computer Security, Information warfare and Programme Director of the Master in Computer Security & Forensics at the University of Technology, Mauritius and a seasoned Information Security Consultant. Has completed various banking and finance audits as well as alignment with BASEL II and various other core standards. He has been actively participating in on various International Standards bodies for Security.

He is a member of Advisory Board of The New Security Foundation, Member of The American College of Forensic Examiners & Institute of Forensics Science. He is Chair / Founder of the ISACA Mauritius Chapter in Formation, Member of the Academic Subcommittee of ISACA & ITGI.

A Fellow and past Board Member of the International Professors Project also Vice President and Director of Governance and Policy International at Center for the Advancement of the Enterprise Architecture Profession and a member of the Digital Forensics Association (DFA). A Chartered Fellow of the British Computer Society and a core member of the BCS Cyber forensics Group.
He sits on various National and Regional committees and boards on Governance and Security Management.

A member of The Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University. He is also a Spokesperson for ISACA / ITGI as an expert in the fields of Security / Governance / Audit.

He is the Coordinator for - SAP University Alliances Programme, Sun Academic Initiative, Software  Engineering Institute & ISACA as well as IBM Academic Initiative. An Enterprise Governance and IT-Security external consultant for a number of public and private companies. He has also served as consultant and auditor for Deloitte as well as Accenture. A seasoned Independent Consultant.
He holds key research interest in Enterprise systems, IS Security Processes. He is also a Research Academic member of the Centre for CIO Research (CenCRA).

His areas of expertise include Governance, IT policies and standards development, risk management, risk assessment and control evaluation, service level management, problem and incident management, disaster recovery planning, business recovery processes, Secure Software, business process management and re-engineering.
